Inspirational Ixworth Day
Welcome to the Ixworth CE Primary School website and thank you for showing an interest in our school.
Ixworth CE Primary School is a Church of England Primary and Nursery School for children aged 3-11 situated in an attractive village close to the market town of Bury St. Edmunds. Our school is very much a part of the village community, with strong links with the local church and other aspects of village life. It is a happy school with high educational standards and a caring family atmosphere.
Our school values are 'Aspiration, Independence and Respect': the foundations for everything we do in school. We have high expectations of all our pupils. We believe that each child is unique, with their own talents and abilities and that it is our school's responsibility to nurture and encourage every child to grow into independent, rounded individuals. Our staff are highly motivated and dedicated to providing an excellent start in education for each and every child. We encourage all of our children to contribute to the life of the school and appreciate and respect the contribution of others.
We aim for every child at our school to have a happy and successful primary education in a supportive, stimulating environment. The primary years of a child’s education are vital in laying the foundation for a lifetime of learning. Our staff, parents, carers, governors and friends in the community work together to provide a positive learning environment in which children are challenged and enjoy their learning. Parents are very supportive of the school and we value the strong partnership we have formed with them, as this allows both school and parents to ensure the children are receiving the highest standards of well-being and education.
Please browse through the pages on this website to find more information about us and what we do, although to get a full flavour of our school you will need to pay us a visit. We will give you a warm welcome and we will be proud to show you our learning in action.
If you would like to contact us, please telephone or email to arrange an informal visit.
We look forward to meeting and working with you.
