We celebrated our last week before the Christmas holidays with a special church service a Christmas lunch and made some special tree cakes (Yr1) . We finished of our final day of School with a candlelight carol service just for children and staff.
On Monday 15th December Year 6 became Vikings for the day. There was a session of Viking style cooking of oatcakes which were covered with jam and fruit. In class the children tried there hand at weaving and also their own version of the Bayeaux Tapestry.
During the morning many of the classes were surprised by a Viking raid where items were "stolen" and slaves were taken. Pictures from the day are in the slideshow below.
Squirrel class invited parents to their Egyptian displays. The children sang some songs about the egyptians while parents sampled soup and flatbreads. Below are some pictures of the afternoon.
On Saturday 6th December 2014 Olivia and Nikol from year 6 went to Woodbridge. They went to collect an Oscar for best silent movie category in Suffolk Young Film Makers club. They went on behalf of the group that made the movie. The group consisted of Ellie, Katie, Daisy, Plamena, Reece, Blythe, Nikol Eleisha and Olivia from year 6, Lottie and Scarlett from year 5 and Jacob from year 4.
